Why am I running?

Why Vote for me?

I get asked this question every time I tell someone I’m running for state assembly. I’m running simply because I want to be part of the solution.  Being in city government and on the school board for over 16 years, and Mayor since 2019, I’ve seen a lot; what’s working and what’s not working.

I am a moderate republican who believes in limited government, personal choice and responsibility. My local government experience has always dealt with different political views and beliefs, and we’ve been effective working together to try and solve our local issues and serve our citizens – as is expected of us.  Working together is what I intend to continue in Madison. We need more cooperation in government, not more division.

I am very passionate about my small community and I’m eager to get to know more about each town, village and city in the 46th district. I would suspect we have similar issues and needs and I want to be your advocate at the state level.

I truly believe my 16 years of experience on city council and 9 years on school board will help me represent our district and be a good advocate for the needs of all the communities, as we all want to live in a safe community with reliable services, good roads, and reasonable taxes!

My commitment to you is this, I will listen to your needs and what’s important to you and your community, as I do now as the Mayor of Waterloo. I plan to work for you and be your reasonable, sensible, and collective voice in Madison.
